ARTIST NAME IDEAS
Below is a brainstorm of all my ideas of possible names to call my indie pop band. I gained inspiration mainly from the internet where I looked at already existing artist names and copied randoms words to form a whole name. I also looked at songs and albums with quirky titles that I took inspiration from and wrote them down on the brainstorm. By creating this brainstorm I am able to visually see all my ideas and see the names' appearance written down. I will now conduct a questionnaire and pick my four favorites and ask people to vote with a explanation why they have chosen that certain name, in order to narrow down all my ideas into a final decision.

SPINE CONSTRUCTION
To begin the construction of the spine of my digipak, I cropped an ordinary rectangle Photoshop document into a long middle thickness piece following the standard dimensions. I then inserted the logo of the artist which is a necessary and key convention of a spine as it informs the audience whose album it is when from a side profile.
I then coloured the main background space from white to navy blue, the exact same as on the back cover. To get the exact shade of blue I opened up the back cover of the digipak in Photoshop, then using the 'Colour Picker' I selected the background shade and copied over to the spine document, then filled it in using the 'Paint Bucket'.
I then began to insert the album and artist names, using the same font seen on the front cover and poster, to creating continuity and familiarity throughout all the products. I then added the catalogue number and originally the name of the record label. I asked my peers around me and gained their opinion of my design so far, in which their response was to remove the record label name as it was necessary and over clustered the limited space.
I removed my record company name 'VAC RECORDS' and re-arranged the order of the text by positioning it more centrally along the document. Leaving equal spaces in-between the conventions the spine now looks more realistic and easy to read.
Here is the final design of my spine:

PROGRESS UPDATE
I have now finished all my filming and shall begin editing using Adobe Premiere Pro. I am quite hesitant to begin editing as I am very unfamiliar with software I shall be using and have a lack of experience with editing large amount of footage. Throughout the duration of the editing process I will be screenshotting my progress showing why I have chosen to do certain things and how. Whilst editing I will also begin to research into digipacks and posters particularly those belonging to the genre of 'Indie Pop' as well as planning for my own. I will also start to begin gaining more feedback via social media and focus groups on the development of my music video to find out people's opinions and if they think it is successful or not, allowing me to make corrections accordingly.

FILMING 4/12/15 - BEHIND THE SCENES
Below are photographs taken by myself of the behind the scenes of applying Millie's make-up and hair in addition to the set-up of the location. As you can see I used my SLR camera to film Millie applying her make-up and hair using the full length mirror at the location. I used a large wooden frame in which I attached the strobe light and extension lead to. I did not plan to do this as I originally thought I would position the light underneath the actress rather than above. Whilst setting up the equipment I experimented with the light and found it more effective to position it at great height. I also initially set up a large black stand to put behind the model to use a backdrop. However in the end it was unnecessary as the model just stood in the darkness with no black backdrop needed.
